Hello, my name is Sandra. I am a retired lady, 66 years young in reasonably good health…or so I thought!
I was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer. I was simply floored when I heard those words, and I am certain like most people that learn something about their health they could never imagine.
I wanted to create a blog to document my journey with this disease of mine from the onset through every step of the way in as much detail as possible to perhaps help someone else that may be newly diagnosed with stomach cancer and too to help myself get through all of this. Writing is good and I enjoy to write.
I have already made up my mind to keep myself busy with things that I enjoy doing, and to keep a positive outlook. I have a Facebook page with so many wonderful friends; local to all over the world. We share just about anything that is going on in our lives with each other as well as pictures, recipes, gardens, pets and so much more. We pray for each other and others when it is necessary to do so we don’t feel alone and to support those in any part of the world when needed.
When I shared what I know so far with my friends I could not believe the love, support and beautiful prayers I received. I did not feel alone or scared for a second. I don’t however want to fill my page with posts about my health each and everyday. Each of my Facebook friends are important to me. I value their friendships, I enjoy their posts, interests and concerns. I don’t want to become that someone they never want to visit again going on and on about my health. I will however provide them with a link to my blog which is going to be my journey journal.
My first post ‘A Bloated Belly’ is where it all begins.
