I wrote in a post on February 19th about myself going through the Reiki attunement process from the beginning because over all of the years, I did nothing with it as I should have and felt with my cancer diagnosis that I needed it more than ever now.
I signed up with Rosemary Owen; CHYP.SQHP.GHR, Reiki Master Practitioner/Instructor
Reiki I, II, III ART & III Teacher Qualification
(Learn Reiki Levels I, II, III Art & III Teacher and become a fully Certified Reiki Practitioner/Instructor)
Rosemary; Usui Reiki Master and a senior Clinical Hypnotherapist, with over 30 years of studying and teaching holistic therapies. You can read about her qualifications here
Should one of you be interested, you can read what is included with Rosemary’s class here
I received my level l attunement last evening at a time we agreed upon, and this morning I received this email from Rosemary:
I do hope you enjoyed your attunement, I felt it was a very powerful one with a lot of energy flow and colours which leads me to believe you are very open to the Reiki energies and will make an excellent practitioner.
While everyone experiences something different with an attunement, my experience was a warm wave of energy flowing from the crown of my head to my feet and back. I also noticed that right at the time we had agreed upon, my senior kitty ‘Rose’ that was laying on my stomach sleeping, jumped! I am certain she felt the energy as well.
Rosemary is located in the United Kingdom.
After completing the first class, I immediately received my certification of completion, then the appointment for the attunement.
Today, I am going to work on the next level and complete that class so I can receive the Reiki level ll attunement.
I have since signing up for her class been giving myself self treatments with the hand positions you learn in that class, and of course I remember them from years ago…but starting fresh, I want to do everything perfectly in case I forgot something.
It is asked that you do them for a minimum of 21 days. This not only gets you comfortable with the hand positions, but builds up the energy that will be flowing from the palms of your hands. Your hands get warmer and warmer with each time you practice. If you decide this is what you want to do for others as a business, perhaps apart of your nursing or physical therapy treatments if your a physical therapist or nurse by profession, the energy will be very strong and beneficial for your patients.
Do know that you never, ever…should you decide to give a Reiki treatment to another person…have to physically touch them. Many people are quite sensitive to another person touching them, and you don’t have to do that at all.
For example, a friend or co worker may have a bad headache, you offer them a Reiki treatment, but they don’t want you touching them, you can give that treatment absolutely without having to touch that friend or co worker.
You can also send Reiki distantly and it will reach that person you wish to send Reiki to. You will learn all of that in your classes, and how that is done.
You will also learn that you never send or provide a Reiki treatment to anyone without their express permission.
Someone may have a pacemaker that your not aware of for example.
On Another Note
This week I will begin my first chemo therapy treatment. My Oncologist had stated at my consultation with her on Thursday, she wants me started this next week.
The nurse gave me handouts with the different chemo medications that will be used and I am to have 7-10 shots of vitamin B12, iron, and Leukine. The nurse also asked me to take Tylenol, and Benadryl before the treatment and to monitor my temperature at home. I went out and purchased those items along with a nice new thermometer.
I will be having this done in their other office in another city for this first time. I contacted my insurance carrier about transportation to and from that facility and they do have unlimited transportation all of this year for medical appointments, and covered fully by the insurance.
Thereafter, treatments will be done at the office nearest my home.
This is wonderful, because I don’t know how I would be feeling to drive myself home, and nice to know if your not feeling so good to get to your local appointments. I truly have no idea how the medications will affect me, so just nice to know.
Well, need to scoot along with my day.
We had rain all through the night, and it is going to rain much of the day and perhaps into tomorrow. I noticed in the weather app I have we will be having some nice warmer temperatures from mid week on, so that will be nice.
How is your weather?
I wish you all a lovely, lovely day!
